A male -- police aren't yet saying if he was a man or a boy -- was shot and killed around 3 p.m. today in Oakland.
OAKLAND — A person was shot and killed here Saturday afternoon in the city’s sixth reported homicide of 2024, police said.
The victim was identified by police only as a male — authorities haven’t released his age or said whether he was an adult or a boy. He was shot and killed around 3 p.m. Saturday on the 9400 block of A Street. He initially survived the shooting but died later Saturday afternoon at a hospital, police said.
Police haven’t announced any arrests, nor have they said whether they identified a suspected motive.
